Gianluca brings nearly a decade of materials engineering and metallurgy research experience, and is an expert in the design and fabrication of setups for in-situ scanning electron microscopy experiments as well as failure analysis. He holds a Sc.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, an M.Sc. in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from Politecnico di Milano, and an M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.

Biman Nitin Herlekar

Mechatronics Engineer

Biman is developing the pipe coating robot with the support of the mechatronics engineers at HAX. He is experienced in microcontroller programming, mechanical design using tools like CATIA and SolidWorks, and programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++. He holds a M.Sc. in Mechatronics and Robotics from New York University's Tandon School of Engineering and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University's K.I.T.'s College of Engineering.

Bowen Li

Mechatronics Engineer

Bowen Li combines expertise in autonomous driving technologies and mechatronic system integration, highlighted by his significant contributions to the Formula SAE Team, leading to national success and showcasing his adeptness in competitive engineering environments. His educational foundation is robust, holding a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, alongside a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

Kelvin Maliyakal

Mechatronics Engineer

Kelvin Maliyakal brings experience in mobile swarm robotics and integrated mechatronic systems, showcased through his leadership in NYU’s robotics research projects focused on autonomy and control. His experience spans embedded programming, sensor fusion, and mechanical design. He holds a Master’s in Mechatronics and Robotics from New York University and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
